Well, I guess we are going to Knoxville the weekend after thanksgiving for a few days. Looks like November 28th-30th which is a Friday through Sunday. If anyone stills wants to go just call me or send me a message or write on these comments.
went to knoxville yesterdy. all in all it was a good day. brsides jake going down hard at the park. i didn't see it but i guess he went down on a tucked no hander air, slid out and smacked his head. knocked out cold and going into seizures. we went to the hospital to see how he was doing and he seemed fine apart from the goose egg on his head and acting super happy. he decides the hospital staff sucks, takes out his own iv and leaves. everyone is in agreement this was the best thing for him to do until he gets a call from said hospital saying his insurance wont pay for it unless he comes back. sounds like they just want as much money as possible. as far as i know little jake is doing ok now.
jake with a jammer and a tucked no hander drop matt at the end of a line and tucked over the hip randy wouldn't stop talking about the movie "bmx bandits" and the influence is starting to show withe this tweaked one footer
p.s. the trip in november is still on, looking like the weekend of the 14h-16th. when i find the actual date i'll post it up on here.
jr was in town last week and i got this shot of him learning some new moves so he called me yesterday and telss me he's coming back in november. so i guess the plan is to go to knoxville from friday to sunday with as many people as we can get to ride and party for a few days(with more emphesis on riding) and to film all of it. sounds like a good idea to me. anyone know where 8-12 guys can crash in knoxville? p.s. you better be get off work jeffy
heres some photos from the knoxville skatepark a few months ago. this was one of those days that reminded me why i still ride after all this time. my foot was still junk so i took these pics.
jake booher goes big then goes home.
the return of chris ball.
then superman showed up.
parker brown, slowly but surely winning the battle against puberty.
sorry for being a slack lately, likei said, i have been lazy from the heat. i went to matt rowland's house today with jeff and will. i had hopes of making a little edit of them and matt riding his trails but all three of them got hurt. i did get these few shots of matt though. good to see people jumping dirt again, now if only jr henery was here matt rowland locked up off the lip
p.s. jon hartsell has a video over on the comeup so make sure to go there and talk shit to the shit talkers. jon rocks and anyone who has ever met him will agree

i could never say enough nice things about matt, so i decided to do this interview thing.
-name and age? Matt Rowland 25
-whats been up this winter? Killed three deer this season. After I climbed out of my treestand, I decided it would be a good time to start riding again. I have found a new motivation with it. I got a whole new outlook on riding. After last year I figured its time to chill out a bit. Smashing your head and dislocating a thumb will do that to ya. Plus I got a younen on the way. I realized since I couldnt ride last summer how much I missed it. My body don't heal as well as it used to. I guess you just have to realize at some point it is time to chill. Now, I just enjoy being there, riding with my friends, hangin out and doing "that trick" in everyones eye. Started going to a kayakin class, nearly drowned. Been riding dirtbikes on the weekend, got into downhill mtn bikin, hangin with the old lady, made a couple gun stocks, trout fishing, dove huntin all kinds of stuff. I get bored easy.
-tell us about your trails There in the back yard, been a dream of mine since I started riding. Sucks it took so long but they are there now. I got a prick of a neighbor that gave me some trouble at first, but everything is cool as far as I know for now. I am looking forward to this summer. I'd like to see some people get into trails. They should be pretty sick. I was hurt most of last year so only got to ride them toward the end of summer. Plus the drought didn't help much. Then it got cold and they have been sitting there ever since.
-what bike are you rideing right now? 99 or so Standard Trails 250R OX. Pretty cool story behind it. I broke an STA and called a dude named Chad at Standard to see what we could work out as far as warranty goes. He told me about this new bike they were coming out with. Said it was prototype and all, anyways he sold it to me for $190 Later on they released em for a ridiculous amount of money. Seems they were a 400+ frame. Glad I got the deal I did. I have beat the crap out of it ever since and it is still holding up today. They just don't make em like they used to.
-why is it so old?(the bike) I guess because the days keep goin by?
-you have so much that you do. motorcycles, hunting, fishing, working, have a wife, got a kid on the way. how do you still find time to ride, have so much fun doing it and still kill it? Stoked about my kid!!! Can't wait to be a daddy. My wife is seriously the most awsome women in the world. There is always time to do somthing. I just dont like wasting days. I just live em all to the fullest, and sleep at night like the next guy.
-anyone you would like to thank? Jesus My wife. My family. Jake Hunter, Jeff G, JR, Shane, Wes B, JB, Mark pretty much anyone that takes the time to hang out with me. The list could go on forever. I am a pretty blessed man. Got a lot of freinds.
-and lastly, tell the kids about how to polish a turd? Turd polishing applies to lots of things. KTM's,Volkswagons, old Standard bikes, etc. I am nearly a pro. Taking somthing that is pretty much $#!T and turning it into somthing is a skill that not many people posses. There is a funny story behind polishing a turd. To make a long story short. I used to work at a bike shop. This guy from Eastman brings in a Huffy MTB, wants all this stuff done to it. I try to tell the guy to just buy a new bike. I tell him it will be like $70 to fix it. He doesnt listen to me. Comes back to pick his bike up. Gets pissed because I had to add tax to the $70 bucks and then starts complaining "I could have bought a new bike for that" Basically the same thing I told him up front. He kept goin on & on and eventually I told him you can only polish a turd so much. He didnt like that, threatened me, I was only like 15 the manager comes out with a big Park frame bending tool, we called the cops and got it all worked out. The funny thing behind the whole story is the manager was into mid-evil fighting. He would have beat the piss out of that dude. Now polishing a literal turd, not gonna try that.
mike, kev little and kenny shoulders are in town today so we went to knoxville"s new park. not bad. heres a few pics i have from today kev little with a down side whip over the hip matt rowland tabletop over the same hip mike broke his chain, so he icepicked up this ledge without it, via kev little's towing service. too bad i don't have a picture of him doing it. i do have this one though the park got real crowded so we went to the bp ditch where gerg did this over ice on this little rail the skaters put in all in all it was a good day
